The image Image:Elliottlewis.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Resolved This issue has been resolved, and I have therefore removed the tag, if not already done. No further action is necessary.—cyberbot II NotifyOnline 02:33, 2 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Raymond

edit

Possibly worth a mention that he sometimes used the pseudonym 'Raymond Lewis', as per here.219.88.68.195 (talk) 00:44, 2 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Raymond was the name of his brother. That link brings two listings for Elliott, not for "Raymond." I'm guessing the page changed at some time. Old captures are not archived in the Wayback Machine. --DiamondRemley39 (talk) 00:36, 30 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Next steps

edit

I have started what will probably be a couple of weeks of cleanup on the article. The immediate goal is to get all information in the article cited so the tag at the top of the page can be removed. Most of his show credits should be citable. The only one I am currently questioning is the note that he was credited on over 1200 shows -- which I'm sure no radio enthusiast would doubt. But the only source I know of for this number if the RadioGOLDINdex, and I'm not sure that should be considered a reliable source as it is a database created by an individual.
Next is to expand upon anything that can be.
Finally, have the article reassessed -- it is hardly stub class. DiamondRemley39 (talk) 00:32, 30 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

DiamondRemley39, I have added a few citations for radio programs and added a few roles in other programs to help a bit in progressing toward your goal. Eddie Blick (talk) 03:19, 30 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
Teblick Thanks for all your work so far! DiamondRemley39 (talk) 03:16, 2 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
DiamondRemley39, You're welcome! I will try to see if I can find more to add next week. Eddie Blick (talk) 03:34, 2 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
Well, Teblick, we've been at it for a few months and the article is now in ship-shape. I am so glad you participated. It helped keep me going at times. This article is so much better now. While I'd love to see more pictures, image use is not my forte. I may add a photo of one of the Cathy & Elliott albums, but that's about all I have left to add before requesting reassessment. Other articles need this kind of makeover... I expect I'll see you aroun. Thanks so much! DiamondRemley39 (talk) 02:00, 7 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
DiamondRemley39,You're welcome! I'm glad that I could help. I seldom encounter WP people who are interested in articles about old-time radio people and programs. Your additions (both in text and in citations) are numerous and significant. I hope the reassessment is successful. I have never been involved in that process, so I don't know how it goes. If you need help on other OTR-related articles, let me know; I will see if I can help. Eddie Blick (talk) 02:14, 7 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Great, I'll be sure to ping you when I start another. It'll probably be someone or something only a degree or two from Elliott Lewis. Take care, Teblick! --DiamondRemley39 (talk) 03:45, 7 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
