Close paraphrasing

edit

Some of the wording used in this article is quite close to that used in the Davis book. As it's an edge case, I've opted not to remove this article from the DYK queue; however, immediate action is needed to resolve this issue. Please see WP:Close paraphrasing for guidelines and tips. Having assessed, I have to agree that additional work is needed here. For one example, the article says:

her father, Grigory Lvovich Movshenson, was an engineer who had graduated with high honors from the Riga Polytechnical Institute and her mother, Charlotta Ilinichna (née Meylakh), came from a large Jewish merchant family in Białystok.

The book says:

Her father, Grigorij L'vovič Movšenson, was a Jewish engineer who graduated with high honors from the Riga Polytechnical Institute.... Her mother, Charlotta Il'inična Movšenson (née Meylakh), came from a large Jewish merchant family in Białystok.

While I cannot see all of the source, I do see pepperings of other content that, like this, is minimally altered. I also see plenty that is well paraphrased. I don't think what close paraphrasing there is here is close enough to require blanking, but the article would probably benefit from revision to separate it further from its source. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:33, 4 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
