Experiments edit

"This disproves the hypothesis, originated by William James and propounded by Jean Piaget, that babies are born with no distinctive cognitive abilities but acquire them through education and experience."

I find it dubious that the experiments disprove the notion of acquiring cognitive abilities through education and experience. Such a claim should be referenced at the very least, and from my understanding, is still an ongoing debate, see Language-game. --WLMorgan 19:33, 24 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

The example of experiments edit

The example isn't based on the preferential looking method, but the habituation-dishabituation method, isn't it? --Shaxshan (talk) 10:00, 15 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
