Fair use rationale for Image:SwedishEli2.JPG edit

Image:SwedishEli2.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Assessment edit

The article is full of crufty lists. It needs a narrative description that follows the WP:MUSICALS article structure guidelines, and all of the non-notable list information should be deleted. -- Ssilvers (talk) 03:43, 11 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Identity of Prince Schwarzenberg? edit

I think I have found the Wikipedia article for a historical figure corresponding to Schwarzenberg: Prince Felix of Schwarzenberg
He seems to match the portrayal in the musical due to his take on foreign policy and the Crimean War. However, there's one small problem - the number 'Jedem gibt er das Seine' takes place in 1853 (Lucheni: "Wir schreiben das Jahr 1853."), and this Schwarzenberg died in 1852. I don't know my Austrian history very well (and my German is not that great), so is anybody able to verify that this is the right person?
Also, if this isn't important for the article, please tell me - I'm pretty new to Wikipedia and may need a bit of guidance here and there. Thank you! Gloombox (talk) 12:00, 21 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Why are there 3 sections explaining the plot? edit

The current version of this article has a summary, synopsis, then a full description of each plot point and song, plus three tenuously-connected poems/phrases that seem to have no relation to the rest of the article. There's also a section about the staging of the musical in Japan that is full of fancruft. Looking through the edit history, it seems clear that these are edits from someone highly invested in the musical, but who may not have a handle on concise speech.

I propose that the sections "Act one", "Act two" (and its subsections), and "As for the presentations in Japan" be removed from this article. If the Takarazuka productions are integral to knowing about the musical and people don't want to remove that section, then I propose drastic copyediting of the section to explain why it's so important.—A garbage person (talk) 21:08, 2 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Since I've had no response on this for two months, I'll assume that people are okay with the proposed removal and I will go ahead and remove them. —A garbage person (talk) 19:21, 26 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
