Thai elephant → Elephants in Thailand – I think the proposed title is more reflective of the article's scope, which is mostly about the human–elephant relationship in Thailand. "Thai elephant" has the potential for confusing readers, who may think that the term refers to an actual subspecies of elephant, such as the Indian elephant (to which Thai elephants belong) or the Sri Lankan elephant. Domestic elephants in Thailand are NOT endangered. The wild elephants are endangered, and "rescue" organizations focus on saving mistreated domestic elephants. This does little to save wild elephants. It would probably be good to delineate between wild and captive elephants. Some organizations only rescue captive elephants, and other are concerned with habitat for their wild (and endangered) cousins. Kortoso (talk) 21:30, 17 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
