note edit

"The electrocorticogram is still considered to be the "gold standard" for defining epileptogenic zones..." - No Source given and questionable since this is depended on the single medical center and differs from continent to continent. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 132.230.195.20 (talk) 07:48, 10 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Electrophysiological basis - cortical layers edit

Why would the signal have to be conducted "through several layers of the cerebral cortex"? The dendrites of the pyramidal cells where the signal is generated are in layer 1, arent they? Forodin (talk) 11:21, 13 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

- no, should be similar to EEG and be generated in Layer4/5 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.235.85.22 (talk) 08:54, 5 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

article to add "A team of engineers and surgeons, led by University of California San Diego professor Shadi Dayeh, used a densely packed grid embedded with thousands of electrocorticography (EC0G) sensors to allow them to read activity from the brain’s cortex in 100 times higher resolution than existing technologies." Can someone write it up for the main article?
