"North Camp in El Gorah was the victim of a horrific string of Joseph and Mary robberies during the Christmas of 2005. The culprit was never caught but the message "No one cares I work in the tool room" was found at the scene."

Could someone please define 'Joseph and Mary robbery'? In addition, could someone please provide details for this particular 'horrific string of Joseph and Mary robberies"?

Joseph and Mary Robberies Once Again

edit

"North Camp in El Gorah was the victim of a horrific string of Joseph and Mary robberies during the Christmas of 2005. The culprit was never caught but the message "No one cares I work in the tool room" was found at the scene."

This strange statement has once again been added to this article. Can the contributor please provide an explanation of what this means as no one seems to know what a "Joseph and Mary" robbery is. Can you also provide a source for this, otherwise it will be deleted as an incomprehensible and unsourced statement.

In conducting a bit more research on this odd subject I have come to the conclusion that this statement was included in the article get readers to Google "Joseph and Mary robbery", since there is no information on what this means in Wikipedia.
Googling that string seems to only lead to one very aggressive commercial website selling anti-virus software with decoy words on the page and redirects to attract that particular search string.
Therefore I believe this entry is actually a subtle form of commercial spam and is totally irrelevant to the article. Please correct me if I am wrong on this subject. Also please discuss this subject and provide an explanation of what this paragraph means here on the talk page, along with a reliable reference source for the statement before this paragraph is reintroduced to the article.
In the meantime based on what I think I have found out I am deleting this paragraph from the article.

Joseph and Mary Robberies

edit

As near as I can tell, and from asking those who may know more about the subject than I, a Joseph and Mary robbery is a loose reference to Joseph and Mary 'stealing out of Egypt' icognito with the baby Jesus, a posteriori. It remains that the paragraph about the Joseph and Mary robberies of Christmas Day 2005 is seemingly unsubstantiated and moot for this article. However, it would be nice if the author of the statement could provide some extension about the toolroom cryptic note. As I recall, that toolroom contained a whirligig and generator. —Preceding unsigned comment added by HopefulRomantic (talkcontribs) 17:53, 26 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Makes sense in that context, but as I noted above I still think the whole entry was nothing more than a spam/malicious website luring attempt. - Ahunt (talk) 18:46, 26 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Funny enough to cite

Assuming this is true, it would be nice to have a citation to make it encyclopedic: 'Egyptian tourist sites have occasionally drawn stares from the locals when asked where they live when they respond, "El Gorah".' Piano non troppo (talk) 13:06, 24 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

I agree, I have fact tagged it, hopefully someone can find a ref. - Ahunt (talk) 13:30, 24 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
This statement has remained unsourced for nine months and I have been unable to confirm that it is correct - so it is gone. - Ahunt (talk) 15:27, 30 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
