" official wives and unofficial relationships with countless women" there is NO citation for this part, so it should not be added... there is black campaign against eka tjipta palm oil company do not use wikipedia as a reliable/neutral source, it is not reliable and not trustable

Removing "APP in China" section

edit

None of the information in this section is directly about Mr. Widjaja. However, it would be appropriate to incorporate this content into the article on Asian Pulp and Paper, but unfortunately, that article is something of a mess. So I am going to delete the entire section from this article and paste the text into the talk page over there. --Brian Z (talk) 13:49, 6 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

My name is Asri Aldila Putri and I am the Stakeholder Relations at Asia Pulp & Paper. I understand and adhere to Wikipedia’s editing policies and therefore, would like to propose the following edits for the community to review.

This claim is missing a valid, third party source: “Greenpeace now reports that Sinar Mas is felling massive areas of virgin forest in Papua to make room for palm oil plantations.”

The information in this paragraph is outdated: “The Sinar Mas Group also owns the Singaporean-listed Asian Pulp and Paper, a company that has been convicted of being involved in illegal logging in Cambodia(1), Yunnan Province, China(2)(3), and the illegal felling of over 50 thousand acres (200 km²) of forest in Bukit Tigapuluh national park(4).”

Add the following update: “In June 2012, APP published its sustainability strategy and goals for the next decade in the Sustainability Roadmap Vision 2020. Addressing environmental performance, biodiversity conservation, and the protection of community rights, the landmark roadmap represents APP’s attempt to develop its own certification standards for responsible forestry based on international best practices. Unique to its strategy is the roadmap’s transparency: Not only did APP solicit input from a multitude of NGOs—some of which, like Greenpeace, have been highly critical of its forestry practices in the past—but it also invited those NGOs to monitor its progress.”

Thanks in advance for your addition to these edits. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aldila Putri (talkcontribs) 11:42, 15 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
