Thirty years later and there is next to nothing about the old Eico on the web. I remember some of their stuff from around 1970. It looked good but I wondered about the reliability. EICO Audio edit
Back in 1970 when I was 15 years old I assembeled an EICO 3070 Cortina series stereo amplifier kit. Now in 2011 it is over 40 years old and still operating perfectly, presently powering my outdoor patio speakers. I doubt that any consumer electronics items made today will still be functioning in 40 years (or in 5 years for that matter). It is a shame that EICO was killed by the flood of cheap imports, and the fact that young people today want instant gratification, they do not have the patience to assemble an electronics kit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.162.160.240 (talk) 07:41, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
EICO Amateur Radio edit
Eico also made an Amateur Transmitter, the 720, which also had a 722 VFO and 730 modulator add-ons as well as a 710 Grid dip oscillator; possibly others.
