I am not convinced that the new party of Abu Ismail's supporters and the Umma Party (Egypt) are identic. The quite striking point is, that according to the source, this party is in the process of being founded (now, in 2012 (!)), while the Umma Party has existed ever since 1983. They may have a similar name, but I find it improbable that they are the same. --RJFF (talk) 19:53, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
- I stand corrected. [1] was quite unclear though, it seemed to talk both about an existing party that Abu Ismail had not joined and a party planned to be formed by his sympathizers in the same passage. However, Arabic wiki is more clear, and there are plenty of mentions of the founding of the party in 2012. The name is wrong, though. --Soman (talk) 20:49, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
Can I go ahead and undo the move? I believe that would be the proper procedure. David O. Johnson (talk) 22:47, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
Nevermind, I can see that each party [the Umma Party and the Egyptian Umma Party] has its' own page.David O. Johnson (talk) 23:06, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
