Re-add the Cinnabon image

edit

Should this Cinnabon image be re-added to Eglinton station or to the Cinnabon article? Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 04:14, 12 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Why do you think it belongs in an Eglinton station? Martin Morin (talk) 04:49, 12 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Switchover point for Line 1 operators

edit

The following paragraph was removed from the article:

This station is used as a switchover point for Line 1 operators who are coming on or off their shift. There are sometimes slight delays at this station as subway operators are being changed.[citation needed]

The statements were removed because the TTC has ended the switchover at Eglinton station probably starting February 18, 2018 (start of new service period) but definitely by early March. Besides being obsolete, the statements had no REF, although they were essentially true (as per personal observation). The TTC had an office for operators under the second stairwell from the south end of the platform, which has since been closed. On April 11, I noticed that crew switchovers were taking place at Sheppard West station, and the office appears to be at the north end of the platform. But I have no REF to back up this observation; so I have not updated the Sheppard West article. TheTrolleyPole (talk) 23:37, 11 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Eglinton stationEglinton station (Toronto) – I just saw a couple of similar titles:

I am not sure whether the Toronto or any other station should be made primary or whether the current title should be used to disambiguate. ««« SOME GADGET GEEK »»» (talk) 19:30, 7 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Oppose – If one is closed and another merely proposed, and both are railway stations, pretty sure this one is fine given WP:NATURALDIS and any confusion can be dealt with via hatnotes. If the one in Perth gets built and people start referring to it as plain "Eglinton station" enough that it qualifies as its common name, then we can revisit. —Joeyconnick (talk) 22:34, 7 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
Oppose. We've been inconsistent about what to do when "X station" and "X railway station" both exist. Sometimes we disambiguate and sometimes we do hatnotes. Pageview statistics do suggest that this article is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. I would suggest the creation of Eglinton station (disambiguation) to handle navigation between these articles, plus Eglinton GO Station. Mackensen (talk) 10:19, 8 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
I like the idea of "For other uses, see Eglinton station (disambiguation)" on each of the 4 articles. BLAIXX 15:25, 9 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
