editAnyone interested in improving this article may find the original source of the graph used in this article (which was part of my own work on Hours of service which will be featured on the Main Page Feb 26) a very comprehensive source of deeper information regarding work fatigue. It is called Regulatory Impact and Small Business Analysis 5. ANALYSIS OF CHANGES IN CRASHES (sounds very dry, and yes it is) published by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and features tons of study data which might prove useful here. --ErgoSum88 (talk) 18:09, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

Would like to talk about Korean Air 801
editThe plane crash which happened in Guam, 1997, has been carrying passengers from Seoul, Korea, to the paradise of Guam for a vacation. Due to poor weather conditions on that night, the captain was not able to have a visual of the runway. The other crew that were less powerful in terms of hiearchy in the flight deck did find something wrong, but failed to point it out clearly enough to the captain. [1] Moreover, the captain originally scheduled for a flight to the United Arab Emirates, was changed last minute because of work hour restrictions and is suspected of being fatigued at the time of the flight. The ILS system known to be not working due to maintenance at the time was believed to be working by the captain and the plane was heading towards disaster from that moment on due to a combination of unfortunate circumstances.
