Change in life expectancy

edit

I recently added this chart showing the change in life expectancy since we started burning fossil fuels:

Life expectancy by world region, from 1770 to 2018

User:RCraig09 deleted it, and commented, "reverting 'life expectancy' chart, as 'expectancy' is not mentioned in article body, . . . and with many other factors affecting it, has speculative connection with Climate Change in particular"

I'd like to hear what other editors here think about including or not including this chart in the article.

Thank you for your comments.

  • MOS:INTRO states that "The lead section should briefly summarize the most important points covered in an article in such a way that it can stand on its own as a concise version of the article." Here, life expectancy apparently isn't even mentioned in the article body. Further, factually, many factors other than climate change (e.g., antibiotics) affect life expectancy, so the connection isn't demonstrated, especially to a level supporting the prominence of a chart in the lede. —RCraig09 (talk) 17:19, 8 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
