A fact from Edward of Norfolk appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 28 October 2013 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:

contradiction in terms
edit"Edward was the only son of Thomas of Brotherton, eldest son of Edward I by his second marriage to Margaret (1279?–1318), the daughter of Philippe III of France (d.1285).[1] His mother was Alice Hales (d. in or before 1330)," NOW if his father had a second wife Margaret who was Edward's mother, then Edward's mother CANNOT be named Alice. Is this a problem with the info source or the writing? 96.255.124.231 (talk) 10:44, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
- Edward of Norfolk was the only son of Thomas of Brotherton and Alice Hales. Thomas of Brotherton was the eldest son of King Edward I by his second marriage to Margaret of France. Hope that helps. NinaGreen (talk) 15:46, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
