I am the author of this page. As I am new to wikipedia, I have no idea as to what these warnings mean. Edward R Wood is the great uncle of my wife. If you want to verify who he was please go to the University of York site at http://www.yorku.ca/ycom/profiles/past/sept97/current/features/article1_2.htm and read about him.

We did go there edit

We did go to the site you have suggested. That is how we discovered the original copyright violation. The whole text for this article had been copied and pasted from there to here. That is not permitted. That version of the article was thus deleted. Please don't remove the tags that other editors place on the article. The tags are there to help you and others know what still needs to be done before this article is fully up to Wiki standards. It is also not encouraged for people to write articles about friends, familiy or companies with which that have any kind of relationship. They may have a conflict of interest (see WP:COI), and, because all the information in an article needs to be verifiable by reliable, third-party (independent) sources, they may not use appropriate ones. What you, personally, know (like the fact that your wife's uncle was the president of a specific bank, or even the fact that he may be a famous Canadian) is called "Original Research" WP:OR unless it is something commonly known (like the boiling point of water, for example). Wikipedia welcomes new additions to the encyclopedia and new editors, too; however, there are some things you ought to read before you go any further. Please spend some time at WP:WELCOME and WP:PG which will set out the basic policies of writing for Wikipedia. Please come to my talk page if you have any questions. If I can't help you, we will find you someone who can. Bielle 06:10, 6 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
