The numbers in Early Life don't add up. If he was born in 1799 he would have been somewhere between 14 and 16 at the time of the Battle of New Orleans. The article does describe him as a "young veteran" of the war... 19 isn't exceptionally young (sadly) when it comes to war, but 14 might be indeed. PurpleChez (talk) 17:06, 5 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
