Talk:Educational technology in Saudi Arabia

Article title edit

The draft article at AfC had been given the title Lane603 but this seems to be the name of the language and computer course team that has authored this article. I've renamed the article Educational technology in Saudi Arabia based on the introduction. The article is clearly about Technology and Education in Saudi Arabia and not the Lane603 project. Adding Infobox edit

Hi, Each time I try to add an infobox to the article and saving it, the infobox removed from the page! Could you help to solve this particular problem? Thanx — Preceding unsigned comment added by 176.45.65.172 (talk) 08:34, 7 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry, I assumed this was the same user as Abuaaser, to whom I responded at Template talk:Infobox university regarding the infobox. In short, this infobox is completely inappropriate for this article, since the article has nothing to do with KAU or the people mentioned. Further, while I understand that this was written for a class project, it is inappropriate to mention the professor, fellow classmates, or the class itself in an article; editors on Wikipedia are not credited in the article for their contributions (that is left to the history page) and class projects receive no special accommodations relative to other editors. I also understand that some elements of the article, such as the infobox data, were mandated by the professor. If he or she is unsatisfied by my explanation, they are are encouraged to contact me on my talk page for further discussion. Regardless, such an infobox will not be permitted here.
