Talk:Education Reform Act 1988

Can anyone confirm the correlation between the ERA and the NCLB? Obviously, they are founded on the same principles, but was the NCLB created from the ERA or not?

politics? edit

This legislation was highly controversial, and an account of the politics of it is needed here, not just dry facts. Deipnosophista (talk) 11:53, 1 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Inner London Education Authority edit

London Government Act 1963 states that this act abolished the ILEA - but no mention here. Some clarification/addition needed. Jackiespeel (talk) 18:41, 26 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Northern Ireland edit

This act never applied to Northern Ireland. Per SESC Briefing paper: Northern Ireland, December 2017: "The Education Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 1989 was the correspondent piece of legislation to the Conservative government’s 1988 Education Reform Act in England and Wales."
