Talk:Edmund Weaver (MP)

Barebones Parliament edit

The Barebones parliament comprised nominated MPs who represented only counties and no boroughs apart from City of London. McParlin's PhD thesis claims Weaver represented Hereford in the Barebones. The reference given for this is appendix II in his own thesis. This appendix II includes a table of representatives. As presented, the two recruiters to the Long Parliament are listed in alignment with the Barebones tab This must have given rise to confusion as Cobbet], Brown Willis etc only give two members for Hereford. The constituency article explains this and also contains a note discussing whether Weaver sat in the Rump or whether the reference to Weaver is to another MP John Weaver.
