editAn Editor's note at the beginning of the entry questions the notability of Edla Spencer-Churchill.
She is the Duchess of Marlborough. Her husband is the Duke of Marlborough, related to the Churchills (you know, Winston), related to the Spencers (Princess Diana), Edla is wife of the descendant of THE Marlborough, John Churchill,who masterminded the British defeat of the French establishing Great Britain as a leading European power. Aside from this, Edla's hubby is a descendant of the American aristocrat, Cornelius Vanderbilt.
