This org caught my attention with their new website at getenergyactive.org they are promoting thru web ads. If you follow the money this org spends on lobbying, you get a different impression on what their purpose is.

Stranger still was the one item I found emailed to me in an article by Joseph Kay <editor@wsws.org> dated 30 Aug 03 titled "Bush Guts Pollution Controls On Energy Industry" that stated The companies that have most vociferously pushed NSR reform were heavily involved in Cheney’s energy task force. The Edison Electric Institute, an energy industry group, had at least 14 contacts with the task force as Cheney was formulating the administration’s energy policy. The institute—which includes all the major utilities involved in the government lawsuits—has contributed some $600,000 to the Republican Party from 1999 to 2002. Now that's what I call spin! This is true. They are a powerful lobby against both solar and wind power.--74.38.73.235 (talk) 20:22, 9 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
