On the photo request, there are several perfectly good (I think) photos in the German wiki entry on Edenkoben, at least one of which I think was put there by me. To the extent that these are in the Commons database, it is open to whoever added this flag to add, also (or instead) to the article itself, photos currently in http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Edenkoben. There appear, currently, to be 37 to choose from. Regards Charles01 (talk) 19:01, 8 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I moved the Weinstrasse reference to the first para. That gives it more prominence. It also incorporates the reference within the para that deals already with the location of Edenkoben. Also I converted Edenkoben from a city to a town. I do not know if there is some technical difference between a city and a town in the US, but for british English speakers a city has to receive a 'city charter', and in England these are generally obtained only by places that either have a cathedral or a university as traditionally defined. (Though as with everything in England, starting with the language, the rules are there to be broken and it ain't quite as simple as you first thought: for instance, the government has recently 'promoted' virtually all tertiary education establishments to the status of a university, in order to distract attention from its failure properly to fund the things, and to try and make people feel good about every single aspect the tertiary education system regardless of its actual quality. I don't think it worked.) In the US I never came across a place describing itself as a city with a population the size of Edenkoben's, but I claim no great expertise on the difference between cities and towns in the US.

I hope the lady or gentleman signing as Newaman will excuse my edits here. Charles01 22:51, 22 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
