EddyPro can no longer be considered open-source software

edit

Hello everyone, I would like to put this note here since an IP-account reverted my edits to assert that EddyPro is an open-source software. As per the definition of open source initiative, EddyPro discriminates against fields of endeavor by restricting modifications and use for the source code see https://opensource.org/osd so it can not be considered open-source despite the company claiming otherwise.

Thanks. That clear misinformation was addressed, not only here, but in some of the literature like at https://amt.copernicus.org/preprints/7/C256/2014/amtd-7-C256-2014-print.pdf commenting on a pre-publication version of https://amt.copernicus.org/articles/7/2273/2014/amt-7-2273-2014.pdf. ★NealMcB★ (talk) 00:09, 12 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
