food crops edit

Some of the words used to describe the food crops will be unfamiliar to readers outside India and need explaining.Itsmejudith (talk) 23:29, 27 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Groundnut means penuts. It is the main crop of gujarat. Gujarat is the no.1 state in production of penuts. Kishan kanzariya (talk) 12:13, 10 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

The seeds of penutes are used to make oil. It is very helpful to gain fate.

This article would need a lot of work edit

I am not sure what the assessment standards are for Wiki Project India, but going by any standard, there would a be a lot of work required on this article. Before making any changes I wanted to some idea if these changes would be OK? I would like to make the following changes to the article. (1) The total size of the state (in KM's square), its population (in millions), and its GDP (in million dollars) per capita, per capita adjusted to inflation etc. (2) The distribution of income in terms of geography, industry etc. (3) Contribution to GDP per industry. (4) The unique opportunities (e.g. availability of barren land for industry, availability of coast for ports, strong entrepreneurial culture etc.) and threats (I am quite blank there) that the state may face. I am open to ideas to make the article more encyclopedic. --Wikishagnik (talk) 05:09, 28 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
