Talk:Ecological goods and services

[Untitled] edit

My interest in ecological goods and services stems from agriculture policy in Canada. As a result, the best information I have at hand tends to be slanted in that direction. Will try to keep a broader perspective as I add more. wagors 05:27, 29 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure a straight merger is going to keep enough of a focus on the agricultural aspects of EG&S. Ecosystem services are discussed often by ecological economists and ecologists. EG&S is more often discussed in the context of Canadian agricultural policy as you have referenced. I think the two are still separate topics at this point. --Greeneracres (talk) 16:44, 3 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Have removed merge tag. Heds (talk) 23:35, 7 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

It is now 2014 - reading this page I find it hard to tell the difference between EG&S and Ecosystem Services. Should we think about merging again? - An environmental economist, 09:07, 6 June 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 175.139.182.210 (talk)

Consider merge into https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ecosystem_service edit

Dear contributors,

To be it looks like the scope of these 2 articles (Ecological goods and services, and Ecosystem service) is very much overlapping, and a merged article might be a win-win.

The latter is more developed, also the corresponding WikiData item and other-language articles, so it might be the best to merge the content of this one into it. - https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q5333238 - https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q295865

Thanks for the consideration🙏🏽 MatusKalas (talk) 20:53, 12 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
