"Venomous viper"?

Would that not be redundant, rather like "meat-eating carnivore"? All viper species are venomous. 71.241.100.87 (talk) 20:23, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Of course, but not everyone knows that. People are surprisingly ignorant when it comes to snakes. So, adding this one little word may help, and it's cheap anyway. --Jwinius (talk) 11:43, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

The malayalam term "Churuta" is the name for the Travancore wolf snake (Lycodon travancoricus) and not the saw scaled viper. In appearence, it mimics the krait and not the saw scaled viper.
