King of Sussex?

edit

Ecgfrith has been added to the infobox as King of Sussex; I don't think this is supportable by the sources and would like to hear other opinions. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 23:33, 30 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Well, the Handbook of British Chronology (3rd ed.) doesn't list Ecgfrith as a king of Kent nor as a king of Sussex or East Anglia. Nor does it list those titles under Ecgfrith's entry for Mercia. Mike Ashley's Mammoth Book of British Kings and Queens doesn't list Ecgfrith as a king of Kent, Sussex, or East Anglia. Morby's Wordsworth Handbook of Kings & Queens doesn't list Offa as king of Kent, Sussex, or East ANglia. Barbara Yorke in Kings and Kingdoms of Early Anglo-Saxon England doesn't list Ecgfrith as a king of Kent or East Anglia (she doesn't list kings of Sussex).
