Prose
edit- "The branch was originally built by the Providence and Worcester Railroad in 1874" – add its abbreviation of P&W.
- I notice that "right of way" is spelled without hyphen-minuses in the lead but in Route it is spelled "right-of-way". I believe these should be consistent.
- Both instances use hyphens now. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 14:45, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
- "before reentering Rhode Island in Pawtucket," – wikilink Pawtucket as first mention in the body. Speaking of:
- "in Pawtucket, after crossing over the Northeast Corridor." – is this comma necessary? Coupled with the appositive mentioning Interstate 95 this makes the sentence feel a bit jaded.
- Both points here implemented. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 14:45, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
- "though the ultimately chosen route" – recommend "though the route that would ultimately be chosen". Please ignore me if this is standard in American English.
- Both are grammatically correct, I believe, but I prefer the version in the article as more concise. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 20:45, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
- Noted.

- "a Seekonk River tributary" – wiklink tributary.
- "(this height chosen to allow brakemen on top of B&P trains to safely pass under the bridge)" – The sentence uses a ton of parentheses; recommend changing this line to em dashes instead for improved readability.
- Emdashes added, but they look kinda weird to me. Not sure I did them right. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 14:45, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
- I made a minor modification; hopefully they look alright now?
- I don't see any edits from you in the article history? Trainsandotherthings (talk) 20:45, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
- Oh—I did it now!

- "of double-track at a later point." – recommend "of double-track at a later date."
- Fair enough, changed accordingly. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 20:45, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
- "The first revenue train, a unit train of coal from the docks at India Point," – what is a revenue train? Also:
- Wikilink unit train.
- A revenue train is, as the name implies, one run to earn revenue, rather than for construction or maintenance of the railroad line, which doesn't itself generate revenue for the railroad. As to the second point, good catch, linked. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 14:45, 20 January 2023 (UTC)

- "In spring of 1875" – recommend "In the spring of 1875".
- "(also a subsidiary of the New Haven)." – this may be personal taste, but I tend to avoid ending a sentence with parentheses were reasonably justifiable. May I recommend a single em dash to replace the first parenthesis instead?
- Rewrote this part of the sentence. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 20:45, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
- "The P&W soon began an effort to free itself from Penn Central and return to independence" – this sentence reads a bit skewed. Is there a better word choice than free?
- Any update on this?
- Rewrote this sentence. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 20:45, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
- Any update on this?
- The Operations section is fairly short; could this in any way be expanded upon?
- I can't promise anything, but I will look at some of the older Rhode Island State Rail Plan documents and see if I can gather any additional detail. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 14:45, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks!
- I have reviewed both the 2017 Rhode Island Freight and Goods Movement Plan [9] and the 1993 Rhode Island Freight Rail Plan [10]. Interesting documents, and while there wasn't much I could add from them as far as it relates to this branch, I did get a map of the original extent of the line before the southern part was abandoned. - Nonetheless, nice work on the find!

- "to serve customers there as needed" – there is sufficient context here to justify removing there IMO.
- Ok, removed. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 20:45, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
- The Gallery section could easily be removed with the images incorporated into the above article, especially by utilising template:Multiple image if necessary.
- I agree, and have removed it. The gallery wasn't my idea; another editor added it and I decided to go with it at the time. I also took the opportunity to add a photo I took on Tuesday. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 02:01, 20 January 2023 (UTC)

Refs
editPasses spotcheck—no concerns with refs 3, 5, 6, 9, 11 or 13. Note I could not find access to ref 1, which I originally chose for a random spotcheck as well.
- Ref 1 should be pp= for multiple pages.
- Corrected, and also fixed for another Sfn where I spotted this error. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 15:49, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
- Refs 1 and 15 use a hyphen-minus for multiple page numberings whilst all the sources in References use en dashes. I believe that using either is fine but usage should be consistent to one.
- They should all use endashes now. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 15:49, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
- Ref 12 has a location parameter whilst none of the other sources do.
- This is because of the newspapers cited, only ref 12 (and ref 11, which I just noticed and added a location for) do not include the publication's location in their titles; the others are self-apparent. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 15:49, 20 January 2023 (UTC)

Other
editInfobox—including the map—and cats good.
- Add a WP:Short description
- Recommend adding template:Use mdy dates
- Recommend adding template:Use X English (I presume American?)
- Add WP:ALT text to the images.
- All items addressed. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 21:15, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
