On merging of Earthquake engineering structures
editIt would be better if the article Earthquake engineering structures remains independent from Earthquake engineering in order to become a core for further innovations in this area. Shustov (talk) 10:39, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
- I can't actually tell what that means. Do you mean that this article should become a place to announce new developments in the field, or that there is extant material which ought to be included? TenOfAllTrades(talk) 12:51, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
At this time, my vision is to preserve the article Earthquake engineering structures for brief information on new state-of-the-art trends and/or projects in the field of Earthquake engineering. Shustov (talk) 19:21, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
I believe it would be worth to have a separate "earthquake-resistant structures/construction" article which would include most of the material from the relevant section in "earthquake engineering". Still, the present article does read like an ad at times and it does contain a few factual errors Divamva (talk) 10:03, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
Right now it's unclear where these technologies belong as their is a section on vibration control in the earthquake engineering page. I think they should be merged or the section in earthquake engineering redirected here to avoid confusion.--Rfrazao (talk) 19:51, 7 October 2016 (UTC)
There are many ways of implementing earthquake engineering, and there is not much in it. I think it would be better to set up more classifications to distinguish and define these technical methods.--Annie Zhaoo (talk) 19:51, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
I changed a link
editIt didn't make sense to link "elevated building foundation" to this page https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%9D%D0%B0%D0%B4%D0%B7%D0%B5%D0%BC%D0%BD%D0%BE%D0%B5_%D0%BE%D1%81%D0%BD%D0%BE%D0%B2%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%B8%D0%B5_%D0%B7%D0%B4%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%B8%D1%8F on the Russian version of Wikipedia, so I linked it to this page https://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/Elevated_building_foundation on wikiversity instead. It's the same page, but in English and under a different part of the wikimedia project. ChaKeSeLiAl (talk) 04:21, 15 March 2016 (UTC)
