The Name Etown?

edit

Why is the program called Etown? I think this is important to include in the article. --Skb8721 (talk) 15:24, 4 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

I've wondered about that myself. On their website, they write about the award, stating, "that's what the 'e' in eTown is for," but it still makes no sense, unless the "e" stands for environment, or maybe "excellence."

I tried their website again. I have a little trouble navigating it using my phone, but I thought you might want to look [at www.etown.org] at their "About us>what is etown?" They are not too specific about the name, but go to great lengths to explain their philosophy, which I won't try to repeat here. If you prefer, their # is (303) 443-8696.

The program title means "Environmental Town" or "Environmental Town Hall Meeting." Difficult to cite a source for this fact, as it is too obvious for anyone to discuss, sort of like saying grass is green or the sun rises in the east. Content of the show is mostly bleeding-heart environmental advocacy. 98.245.81.12 (talk) 03:03, 13 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
