'undisclosed paid' tag

edit

I removed this tag as there seems no evidence in the article to justify it. It's quite a serious allegation unless there is evidence. Although the sources are of varying quality, a number of them seem valid. It may be that there are WP:COI issues involved, but that of course is not the same (and not of the same order) as WP:UPE. I have edited the article very slightly in the interestes of neutrality but it does not seem to me to be over the top otherwise.--Smerus (talk) 10:16, 18 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

So far at least nine editors have been hired to write this article and a related one, many of whom had previously been banned. - Bilby (talk) 10:20, 18 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
May we know evidence of this please? I have understood it is normal practice to riase issues on the talkpage of an article before adding banners rleating to COI or paid editing. --Smerus (talk) 10:35, 18 May 2020 (UTC
I guess we're rasing it now. There has been an ongoing COI and paid editing issue with this article going back five years. These include socks of Highstakes00, User:Nmwalsh and User:BiH, all blocked for ongoing undisclosed paid editing. - Bilby (talk) 10:42, 18 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Thank you, that's clear. And for the article as it presently stands, do you feel that it is appropriately WP:NPOV?--Smerus (talk) 11:14, 18 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
I have no idea. It is tagged because of the possibility of a problem. - Bilby (talk) 11:15, 18 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

OK, well, I removed the tag and as it seems to me that the remaining article is presently WP:NPOV and WP:NOTABLE (just) it could be left that way as long as there is no recurrence of previous problems.--Smerus (talk) 13:16, 18 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Unfortunately, I expect that they will repeat. The problem with paid and COI editing is it is very difficult to judge if an article is NPOV, because it is hard to determine what if anything is being excluded. - Bilby (talk) 13:22, 18 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Fine, I will be watching now as well as you. Let's see.--Smerus (talk) 14:17, 18 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Dear fellow Wikipedians, This is Paolo Petrocelli, Founder of EMMA for Peace. I have improved the article of the organization I have founded, adding more relevant and correct information and updated reliable sources, while maintaining as much as possibile a neutral point of view (COI editing). Thank you for your supervision. - Musicdiplomacy (talk) 09:32, 19 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
