Is this really a section?

edit

There is so much redirection surrounding Duvvada-Vijayawanda that one is likely to be confused. We editors need to look carefully at the section articles and the wikilinks on the various railways station pages in Andhra Pradesh. The explanation at Howrah–Chennai main line makes sense, but the wikilinks in individual station articles are goofy.

An Indian Railways document (date 2016) [Profile.pdf|Vijayawada Division] describes three sections:

  • South Section (including Gudur Junction)
  • North Section (that seems to include stations from Duvvada at least to Rajahmundry)
  • Branch Section

Our articles include a bunch of other articles describing sections, including Vijayawada–Nidadavolu loop line.

Station articles on this line point to Vijayawada-Chennai section, which is in turn redirected to Vijayawada–Gudur section. According to the document described above, this would be in the South Section.

There has been a disappointing level of care applied to the editing of these railway station articles. Rhadow (talk) 16:19, 11 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
