A couple things edit

Firstly, I've never really looked into editing Wikipedia so I have no idea what I'm doing right now, sorry for anything I screw up. I'd just like to point out a couple problems with this article. First there is some conflicting information. From the second paragraph: "Although the name suggests that the Dutch rabbit is from the Netherlands, it was actually developed in England." and from the "Appearance" section further down: "The Dutch rabbit originated in Holland, near the birthplace of the Netherland Dwarf."

Looking into this I found a slightly more concerning problem. The first source (http://www.greenpatchrabbits.com/) has no information whatsoever about...well, anything. It appears to be a broken search engine.

I'd love to fix this but I'm way out of my element here. Thought I'd just try to let you guys know about it in the hopes that somebody more suited can correct the problems. I hope I've gone about this in the correct manner, and I apologize if I've not. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.10.60.14 (talk) 23:51, 11 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

My first project edit

I would like to take fixing this page up to top standards. Are there any objections? This will be my first project. SilentSaudade (talk) 08:16, 1 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Tails edit

Could you add a comment on tails. We have one Dutch rabbit with and one Dutch rabbit without tail! Wondering which is ‘correct’ 82.12.153.204 (talk) 20:11, 14 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

If by "tails" you mean the part of their physical structure at the end of their spines, then most likely your tail-less rabbit had its tail chewed off in the nestbox. This is called "over-grooming" and occurs when the mother excessively cleans the kit. Sometimes they also remove ears, or legs. If you are referring to a marking, all varieties of Dutch should have colored tails, the same as whatever variety they are. TanRabbitry (talk) 16:18, 21 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
