Expanded and sourced

edit

I have expanded this article, stating the names of those who have written about it for publication, but more expansion would be in order. Rlquall 23:58, 13 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

I merged the two "Reception" sections, and broke out the factoid about Saunders and Riley into a new "Trivia" section because it had nothing to do with the show's reception and because it is trivial and of dubious relevance. I am well aware that trivia sections are discouraged, and I will not contest the deletion of that section. 12.233.147.42 (talk) 21:29, 8 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

The article currently claims that the series entered the public domain due to lack of renewal. However, materials originally published in the US after 1964 never needed renewal; see this guide. As such, this unsourced claim is dubious, and I'm flagging it as such. --Nat Gertler (talk) 02:33, 25 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

That's true, but it is possible to lapse into the public domain if the series was not properly copyrighted in the first place—at least until 1988. Whatever the reason, 17 episodes are at least widely believed to be public domain. J. Myrle Fuller (talk) 00:16, 16 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
