Allied Domecq Quick Service Restaurants

edit

Does Allied Domecq Quick Service Restaurants still exist or has it been renamed to Dunkin' Brands, Inc.? That appears to be the only name used on the Allied Domecq website. Vegaswikian 22:44, 9 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

It doesn't matter anymore, as Allied sold Dunkin' Brands earlier today. Gentgeen 08:32, 13 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
Actually the sale will not close until sometime next year based on the reports I heard. I'm going to rename the article to Dunkin Brands since that seems to be the name everyone is using. Vegaswikian 21:58, 13 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

{{Connected contributor (paid)}} Hello! My name is Emily and I'm the Senior Public Relations Coordinator for Dunkin' Brands (the parent company of Dunkin' Donuts, now known as simply Dunkin', as well as Baskin-Robbins). As declared on my profile, I've made this account to work with Wikipedia editors to update these articles. I'll rely on volunteers to review suggested changes rather than editing the pages myself, and I invite editors to contact me directly with questions.

I'd like to start by updating the logo in the infobox. I've uploaded the current logo at File:Dunkin' Brands logo 2019.jpg . I won't make this update myself because of my conflict of interest. I'm hoping someone will review and update the article for me. Thanks! EC at Dunkin' Brands (talk) 19:58, 20 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • The image cannot be added because there are changes needed to be made to the file that appear not to have occurred. Specifically, the image needs to have its border removed. This need for formatting changes may also refer to the rectangular solid or translucent space around and/or beside the image that needs to be removed to center the image better. According to the image change notification, where borders are desired they should be added with wikimarkup or code.

Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons

edit

Hello again! Emily here with another request on behalf of Dunkin' Brands. I've noticed an error I hope editors are willing to fix.

When I click on the "Wikimedia Commons" link at Dunkin' Brands (on the left side of the page), I am taken to commons:Category:Baskin-Robbins. Would someone please remove "Baskin-Robbins" from the Wikidata page, which I think is the reason for the error. Furthermore, would someone be willing to create a new category at Wikimedia Commons called "Dunkin' Brands"? This would be a parent category for both commons:Category:Baskin-Robbins and commons:Dunkin' Donuts, and I believe this would help clarify the differences between the brands. Thanks! @Anthony Appleyard: Hello! I noticed you edited the Dunkin' Donuts article recently. I was wondering if you could help fix this error. Also, I'm hoping an editor will update the infobox with the company's new logo: File:Dunkin' Brands logo 2019.jpg. I'm not editing the article directly because of my conflict of interest. Thanks! EC at Dunkin' Brands (talk) 19:05, 23 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
Also, the requested image file does not exist. Please supply an updated filename. Regards,  Spintendo  10:35, 26 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

May 2012 tag

edit

Hello again! Emily here with a question and request for the Wikipedia community. Right now there's a tag at the top of the article with a timestamp of May 2012 ("This article reads like a press release or a news article or is largely based on routine coverage or sensationalism."). I've examined the article history and noticed the current article is substantially different than the May 2012 version. Also, the tag was actually added by an unregistered editor on June 29, 2017. Can editors please consider removing this tag? Or, if problematic text still exists in the article, can you please identify so I can address appropriately? I'm happy to help actively address this concern as needed. Thanks! EC at Dunkin' Brands (talk) 18:40, 9 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

@BoringJim, Klbrain, and THX1136: Hello! Sorry to bother, but I'm still searching for an editor to review this request to remove what I believe is an outdated tag. Since you have helped on the Baskin-Robbins talk page, might one of you be able to take a look here as well? Thanks! EC at Dunkin' Brands (talk) 15:57, 18 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
The problem is there's not much to write here. The company itself (as far as my reading) is just a holding company for a few brands and doesn't have too much on individual activities. Zero Serenity (talk - contributions) 17:47, 18 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Whoisjohngalt: Hello! Sorry to bother, but I'm still trying to find an active editor to review this request to remove what I believe is an outdated tag. I see you edited this page back in October 2017. Might you be willing to assess this tag removal request? Thanks! EC at Dunkin' Brands (talk) 20:32, 25 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Whoisjohngalt: Thanks for your help here. I've noted some grammatical errors in the Dunkin' Donuts article at Talk:Dunkin'_Donuts#Errors and Talk:Dunkin'_Donuts#Grammatical_errors_in_"International"_section, if you're willing to take a look. Logo update

edit

Hello again! I'd like to submit a request to update the logo in the infobox. I've uploaded the current logo at File:Dunkin' Brands logo 2019.jpg. I won't make this update myself because of my conflict of interest. I'm hoping someone will review and update the article for me. @Whoisjohngalt: Will you please consider swapping this logo image in the infobox and removing the outdated image of the sign with the caption "Welcome sign at Dunkin' Brands headquarters"? Thanks! EC at Dunkin' Brands (talk) 23:11, 4 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Done. Much more colorful. Whoisjohngalt (talk) 23:14, 4 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

The article's description of Dunkin Brands in the past tense is incorrect

edit

I'm referring to this edit on 15 December 2020 by User:Nathan J Richards.

If you check the Massachusetts secretary of state records, it still technically exists as a holding company. So the use of the past tense to refer to the company in the article is clearly incorrect.

The more accurate description would be to say that Dunkin' Brands Group, Inc. still technically exists as a holding company, but it is no longer an operating business entity in its own right and the websites of its component brands both point to the website of their indirect parent Inspire Brands. However, the former corporate headquarters of Dunkin' Brands remains in use by Inspire Brands as the "corporate care center" for both Dunkin' and Baskin-Robbins. Any objections before I make that revision? Coolcaesar (talk) 18:45, 16 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

There are some similar changes that you could help with on Baskin-Robbins since I'm not familiar with this world. Dunkin' Donuts and Mister Donut as well. Ornov Ganguly TALK 23:08, 16 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
