This article seems to contain a lot of irrelevant information pertaining to the airports functionality and probably requires a rewrite to bring it into a more encyclopedic context, suggestions anyone? --Jsimeon75 12:32, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

Southernmost?

I've removed the line about it being the southernmost international airport in NZ - Invercargill's airport is officially international, though it gets very few flights from overseas. Grutness...wha? 12:33, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:NZDNlogo.gif

Image:NZDNlogo.gif is being used on this article. Airlines and Destinations

Invercargill! I know Mainland air flies medical staff to Invercargill on a regular but charter basis, but I do wonder how sensible and useful it is recording this in an encyclopedia in this way. I think there needs to be some consensus about what should and should not be listed in the airlines and destinations sections. My view is that if it is in a current timetable somewhere then it should be included. Otherwise I could add Los Angeles to Wellington as Peter Jackson flies in and out! where would you stop? Well there is also the problem that flights to Australian destiations come and go so they get added and removed on a regular basis. But if the person keepign this up to date is happy to do so that is not a big problem - SimonLyall (talk) 01:16, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
