JFK needs citation

edit

The JFK section needs a citation regarding Tippett being a "CIA-controlled pawn." A footnote about the JFK/alien connection would be nice, though not required. It's certainly well known enough that such a citation is not needed to justify the reference. Midlothian90210 23:37, 29 September 2007 (UTC) .... Decided to do it myself. I just added a Web site that talks about JFK/alient connection. Midlothian90210 02:04, 30 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Reports of alleged paranormal phenomenon

edit

I noticed that all of the UFO/ghost material has been deleted from the site by an anonymous editor, who listed his/her objection as “crap.” I found no additional discussion in the “talk” area. So I don't have much to go on. I'm guessing he/she objects because of the subject matter. In response, I have scrubbed these deleted entries, retaining only those that have a link to a Web site specifically describing the report. I checked all of the links. They do lead to content that supports the entry. The RB-47 case in particular is well known in UFO circles and often cited for its credibility. I am reposting the material under a combined heading, “Reports of alleged paranormal phenomenon.” Hopefully the use of the word “alleged” in the headline and grouping all of this material together will help address the objections of the anonymous editor. Even if one personally doubts the existence of UFOs and the paranormal, we should still recognize that the subject is a serious one for many observers and researchers. There is journalistic/encyclopedic value in including these documented reports in the Wikipedia article. Balance2214 21:55, 12 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sex parties

edit

In all seriousness, this might be worthy of some mention, though I doubt many residents would be happy to see a discussion of this story. It's probably the biggest news coverage the town has received though as the story was put out by AP and has been picked up by dozens of media outlets. Also might want to wait and see if the story develops any further before adding it.--146.96.81.147 (talk) 21:54, 7 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I deleted this reference in the article. It is really not relevant to the city, or at least should not be in the "Government and Infrastructure" section of the article. Perhaps it could be put back in if a suitable section is made. I replaced it with relevant information on the city's government and infrastructure. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tampasteve (talkcontribs) 12:38, 25 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
