Images?

At the moment there are:

1. no decent pictures of the property today
2. the page design looks terrible. The Intro is wedged between images.

Thanks for your comments. I added a better pic of the front. I've also added some more text and taken out some images to redress the balance. Galleries are not encouraged, but there are plently of images at Commons, via the external link. Thanks, Jonathan Oldenbuck (talk) 15:12, 11 May 2012 (UTC)

The Wiki entry on Loudoun gives Crawfords not Craufurds as you have in the Lochnorris Estate entry. You also have Craufords in the Earl of Dumfries entry Labocetta (talk) 08:49, 6 May 2023 (UTC)

1814 or 1803

Having been inherited by the 2nd Marquess of Bute in 1814, …

Is that right? Lord Mount Stuart succeeded to the Bute title in 1814 (from his paternal grandfather) but already had the earldom of Dumfries from 1803 (from his maternal grandfather), so who had the house between those dates? —Tamfang (talk) 20:33, 20 October 2022 (UTC)

This is the last paragraph on the opening page. I think you need to check your facts about where the King was in residence, I don’t think it was Dumfries House. 92.29.76.2 (talk) 19:24, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
