Talk:Duhok Governorate

Let's use the correct Kurdish spelling, shall we? edit

The correct spelling for Duhok is Duhok. Never mind whatever the historical phonetic spelling was, if spelling is to be done correctly it needs to be standardized into the correct form. The Anglicized Kurdish alphabet should be used wherever possible. The Anglicized Kurdish from Arabic is atrocious and should be criminally wrong in most cases.

In regard to names, the spelling that a person uses is the correct one (no guessing, it must be confirmed!). Therefore, for example, Massoud Barzani and Nechirvan Barzani are the correct spellings. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Azadkariem (talkcontribs) 12:57, 26 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps you should move the article then. --Golbez 21:09, 26 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thriving is a very POV word. So, perhaps, is liberated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.72.209.109 (talk) 19:05, 18 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Akra edit

This district is included on the map as part of this province and according to the Ninneva article is under the control of the KRG. Should it be shaded as well? AndrewRT(Talk) 18:40, 15 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Resolving an Orphan Link edit

I was going to add Surya, Batifa to the village list as it's currently orphaned but don't have access to edit it. If someone could do that, would be great. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marleeashton (talkcontribs) 08:34, 19 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
