Could someone please explain why this building, which was in Upper Canada, was being used by the American military? There is something missing, either a reputable source confirming that this was US territory at the time or a narrative of how an American military managed to invade British territory with impunity. Where there skirmishes there before the War of 1812? Were the British residents of the area deported? Is this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Henry_Harrison the same General Harrison?
