Ireland = colony argument (again) edit

Actually, to the extent this office even existed, one thing that's certain is that it was nothing like the Colonial Office. The view that Ireland was a "colony" of Britain (particularly in the 19th and early 20th Century) is extremely controversial and disputed by the majority of mainstream historians[1].

This line should be removed. It isn't sourced and even if it were, it's too controversial to stand by itself.Jonathan f1 (talk) 10:48, 5 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
