DRAGONheart

edit

This film involves a dragon, right? So why is there no dragon activity featured in the plot summary? Having seen this film 7 years ago, I am deeply confused. Arkyopterix 09:38, 8 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

New Synopsis

edit

While the previous plot summary was stylistically lovely, it pretty much outlined the first fifteen minutes of the film in excruciating detail while neglecting a majority of the story. I've replaced it with a more thorough synopsis, but I'm afraid it still needs work. Roundelais 16:34, 10 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Draco first CGI main character

edit
  1. Draco was the first completely computer-generated main character.

Is this true? Toy Story was released a year earlier (1995), and it was a completely CG movie. 65.0.39.79 10:38, 11 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Article Rework

edit

I would like to rework this article so that it falls in line with the Wikipedia:WikiProject Films/Style guidelines. This will involve:

  • Revising the lead paragraph
  • Cutting the Plot Summary back down below 900 words (ideally should be around 700)
  • Standardizing and referencing sources for the 'Trivia' (most of which seems to come from Rob Cohen's commentary on the Collector's Edition DVD, which I now have), and
  • Reducing/integrating/eliminating the fancruft elements of the article

I would also like to add a section on the novelization. Roundelais 15:38, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Dragonheart ver1.jpg

edit

Image:Dragonheart ver1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Reception section needed

edit

I don't know. Was it a big box office hit? Was it a critical success? I think the article should have this information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Surten (talkcontribs) 19:17, 26 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

UK release date

edit

Is this date right? "October 18, 2008". Sounds off to me, since it's a 1996 film. HuGo_87 (talk) 18:54, 30 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Casting puzzle

edit

This article's Casting section notes that Patrick Read Johnson, who co-supplied the Dragonheart story, sought to cast Liam Neeson in the lead but was turned down by the studio (presumably, Universal), which "refused to believe Neeson could pull off the action hero role since he had just completed Darkman." But Neeson's lead role in Darkman was likewise that of an action hero of a kind, even if a vengeful one. Why, then, should it follow that the studio was skeptical? DragonHeart, not Dragonheart

Isn't the H in the title capitalized on the movie poster? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.196.222.66 (talk) 14:38, 13 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

EVERY LETTER is capitalized on the poster. So what? --IllaZilla (talk) 16:19, 14 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
Every letter is capitalized but the D and H are clearly larger than the rest of them. --108.29.75.178 (talk) 19:03, 24 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

On Twitter, I have confirmation from screenwriter Jennifer B. White, whose business partner worked on the logo, that the whole title is capitalized but then the letters were distressed. https://twitter.com/nakedhollywood/status/710898791990337536 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.6.230.78 (talk) 01:23, 21 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
