Does anyone know if he went to hell or did Goku meet him in the afterlife?--Cojin 05:16, 7 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

no,Bardak appears only in this film(that isnot part of the original plot) and in a flashback during the Freeze saga.Problably he was already reincarnated.Note:Goku does not know his fat
Actually, he did show up a few times in the TV series so it shouldn't be impossible for Goku to see his father in the afterlife when he dies. Takeshi357 (talk) 20:01, 4 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Music/Soundtrack

edit

Did FUNimation do this to the entire DBZ Series as well? Replace the very nice, and much more appropriate music with something that makes it look and sound moronic and infantile? I know they did it to a few others, such as "One Piece" etc, could that be mentioned somewhere on the articles?205.209.70.189 05:27, 1 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

One Piece was handled by 4kids which is notorious for it's treatment of anime, but yeah, Funimation likes to replace the original music track of DBZ with a bad and inappropriate one, completely devoid of dramatic impact. It's even worse with the feature films where they used punk rock bands like Pantera(!). Takeshi357 (talk) 20:01, 4 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
You've shown your ignorance. Pantera is metal not punk rock. and i prefer rock to the Japanese music. fits the style better. imo
In my random, unsigned comment... FUNimation does pretty much.. the best dubbing. The music, for both, original and redub, are good. I like the more rock influenced music for DBZ more though, because it fits the mood, gets you pumped. I still think the instrumentals in this special fit the mood, and the song at the end had a really good feel, making you think about how Goku is blah blah whatever xD. The new releases of the funimation dubs include the voiceovers with original music though, so there's no real reason to complain. The original Japanese music is best in Dragonball, but Dragonball Z has that more mature feeling and so the FUNimation music fits it... and they always have memorable songs! Especially the first intro for DBZ they had... I'm done with my wasteful ranting now...--76.247.157.153 (talk) 21:43, 19 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Translated Name

edit

The current given translated name is "Dragon Ball Z: A Lonesome, Final Battle - The Father of the Z Warrior Son Goku, who Challenged Freeza", which contains an ambiguity whether it is the "father of the one who challenged freeza" or the "father of Goku and the one who challenged Freeze". My guess would be that the last one is the proper translation, but I guess neither would be an untrue statement. Anyway, why guess? There's probably someone who knows enough Japanese to clarify this. Also, I think it would be good to look into a wording that lacks such ambiguity (even as that's tricky, considering it is a translation). My name is Jasper (talk) 23:52, 4 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
