sourcing and POV in article edit

It's asserted in the current version of the article that Downtown New Haven includes the central 9 squares and "a significant portion of the Yale University campus", etc. I believe the Yale campus is not in the central 9 squares. Could the extent of the Downtown neighborhood be supported by a map and/or a reference linking to one? I see that the Wooster Square neighborhood article linked from this one does have a reference with a map showing its boundaries.

Also the 9 squares map which is included in the article should perhaps be dropped, or at least the POV-type assertion in its caption that the downtown "curves gracefully" around it should be dropped. I have the impression, by the way, that New Haven's downtown was at one time an ugly area in serious trouble economic development-wise. doncram (talk) 16:12, 29 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Official Downtown includes the 9 squares plus about a block north to Trumbull St and a block south to North Frontage Road. A significant portion of the Yale central campus (basically the northwest, west, and north squares are all Yale and accounts for about half of the central campus) is indeed in Downtown. As with all Connecticut cities, New Haven as a whole (including Downtown) had a low point in the early 90s but has recovered reasonably well. --Polaron | Talk 16:28, 29 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
