Really an island? edit

Shouldn't it be called a tidal island since the flats between Douglas Island and the mainland are exposed at low tide? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Funkalunatic (talkcontribs) 09:31, 24 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yes, it is clearly a tidal island and I've made the relevant change. I also added the relevant category. AlaskaMike (talk) 14:46, 15 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Article Evaluation - Douglas Island edit

Content

Overall, the article provides great and relevant information, but to a minimal amount. For example, the section title "Geography" provides great insight about the location and scenery of the Douglas Island area, but the "History" section and the article's heading provide minimal insight to their designated topics. Also, the "Politics" section of the article, in my opinion, provides no real purpose for the article as a whole, as it primarily lists politicians that lived in the Douglas Island area.

Neutrality

Overall, the article does a great job staying neutral and there appears to be no personal insight within the article.

Citations

Overall, the article only has a few references listed, but these references are cited within the article. In the "History" section, there appears to be no in-text citations for any of the claims made within it. In regards to the listed references, two out of three sources are no longer found on the internet. The only reference that is still obtainable on the internet, though, comes from a reliable source.

Equity Gaps

In my opinion, the article does cover a historically underrepresented subject, as it covers one of Juneau's most historic and influential areas. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kslaguidao (talkcontribs) 07:43, 30 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
