Verdon

edit

What happened to "Verdon"? Recently I was in Doswell and I took a trip west on Verdon Rd. looking for the Verdon Rail Road sign/station. I had attended Doswell School and I lived in the Verdon Farm House/Mansion during the 1939/40 school year along with some 15 other boys and young men and 2 young girls whose last name was FOLEY, maybe Violet and Mary Elizabeth. I think that the farm was operated by a family whose name was Williams. Vergie Williams may have been the name of the wife. Seems they had a son named Tommy and possibly a daughter. Does anyone recall Verdon of the late 1930's or any of the people who were associated with Verdon?— Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.137.41.50 (talk)
