Studying at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
editJust in regards to someone deleting that Burrows studied at the Sydney Conservatorium in the 1940s. This is mentioned in several sources, but if you have additional information it would be great to share it. Some sources: Jazz Journal obituary (2020), Jazz In Australia (2015). - Ok, now I have my doubts too. Per DON BURROWS: THE GENTLE COMMUNICATOR (Eric Myers & Adrienne Lamb, 1978), Burrows didn't complete school and the article seems to suggest he learnt everything in clubs. In Don Burrows At 80 Years of Age (Andrew Ford, 2008), Burrows goes into more detail. It says he was part of a school band and then started playing around. So I'll make the change to the main article. Jimmyjrg (talk) 05:50, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
