Music section seems to start in the middle of a discussion about some event

edit

It currently starts with this "The popularity of the monthly event soared and soon ...". What monthly event? Nobody mentioned any monthly events before this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.174.198.70 (talk) 18:34, 16 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Doc Brown (rapper)Doc Brown (comedian) – This was moved to Doc Brown (entertainer) in March but I've reverted that per WP:BRD. Doc Brown (UK entertainer) is still an option, but "UK" or "British" is needed due to the original Joseph "Doc" Brown ragtime dancer of Doc Brown's Cakewalk. Ben Bailey Smith (1977) started off as a rapper, yes, but hits and incoming links now are mainly comedy related. He is unlikely to meet WP:PRIMARYTOPIC due to the character Emmett Brown from Back to The Future. Doc Brown now redirects to Dr Brown disambiguation.   Relisted Armbrust The Homunculus 02:02, 4 October 2013 (UTC) In ictu oculi (talk) 08:48, 23 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • The article says that he has recent acting credits as Ben Bailey Smith and his personal Facebook page lists him as Ben "Doc Brown" Smith (although he also has an online presence on other sites as just "Doc Brown"). Using his full name as the primary page title ought to be considered, since it would avoid the need for parenthetical disambiguation. Having said that, most sources I could find give his music career more attention than his stand-up, e.g. [1], [2]. I don't think the proposed move above is especially clear-cut, so I would oppose it for now, but would support moving to the full name as stated. And yes, i would preeemptively oppose a move to just Doc Brown; the fictional character is closer to being the primary meaning than any other use. 168.12.253.66 (talk) 15:01, 23 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
Okay, thank you, several good points there. It is possible that I have been too influenced by en.wp's own inter-article links which stress the comedian aspect. Yes full real name deserves consideration too. In ictu oculi (talk) 16:15, 23 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
