Content removed for discussion

Critics have pointed out that Dixon has a history of not following through with such announcements, considering that subsidiaries continue to sell both VCR's and non-digital cameras years after claiming they would cease.[1]

I have removed the above content for the following reasons

• The source for this statement would be considered as an unreliable source under WP:NOR
• The facts of this statement are misleading as the source states "I don't know about the 35mm cameras" yet the above statement implies it does for both VCR's and non-digital camras.
• Stating that subsidiaries continue to sell these items after claiming they would cease is incorrect for the following reasons.
  • The BBC news link provided by the source for VCR's clearly states that its sister company Currys will continue to sell VCR's.
  • The BBC news link provided by the source for non-digital cameras clearly states that airport Dixons stores will continue to sell 35mm Cameras.
  • The only other current subsidiarie to sell 35mm cameras is pixmania, Which was not owned by DSGi at the time of the press release and was not purchased untill the next year in 2006.
• The use of the word "critics" is debatable in this statement as only one source was provided, And the source provides gives no evidence of his/hers credentials to criticise in such areas as business and trade.

Content removed from whatever happens section for discussion

Regarding this statement I have removed

"Whateverhappens is the premium agreement offered by the Coverplan service and the only option offered within the Dixons and Currys stores"

I do not agree with this as the word premium as it implies that it is of higher price, which it is not. That coupled with the term "offered by the coverplan service" implies you can upgrade your coverplan to whateverhappen at any time the customer wishes for the implied extra charge, which is not true. Plus whateverhappens is not run by coverplan, they are run side by side within the group along with pc performance offered from PC World stores.164.38.132.100 14:17, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Though you may not agree with the use of the word premium it is still correct in this matter, as the WEH agreement cost more than the coverplan as WEH will only cover 4 years and coverplan covered 5 years, therefore the price per year increses, not only is this true but premium means of higher quality, in this case an engineer must be out within 2 days and the item fixed within 21 day as opposed to coverplan which needs only to be "fixed" within 6 weeks. I hasten to add, I'm actually in the coverplan call centre whilst writing this user:soul_phire

Furthermore I disagree with the opinion that WEH is the rebranded succesor of coverplan, it may be the successor, but to rebrand is to eliminate the formers existance in preference to the new version. Coverplan still exists therefore WEH is not a rebrand. user:soul_phire

Newark

Newarks Currys store has its items (from the HUB) sent up to Sheffield and then sent back down. BRAINS. Orders are picked for each store so it wouldnt be hard to just chuck Newark Currys on a lorry and drop it around. Item's get smashed while loading and we still send them, no one says OOPS sorry and take it off, just send them as its too much hassle. Costs the company money and hay I wouldnt want to buy it the PCB could be damaged and i wouldnt know about it till later. Inside 18:30, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Re-write and clean-up
