This article makes no sense!

How on earth did it take 33 years after the District Courts Act 1947 for District Courts actually to be established? Can anyone explain this apparent anomaly?GSTQ (talk) 22:21, 11 January 2012 (UTC)

The Magistrates' Courts existed before 1980. The District Courts Act 1947 was called the Magistrates' Courts Act 1947 until it was amended to change the name of the courts. Good Ol’factory ^(talk) 19:53, 5 September 2013 (UTC)

Both the nomination and the only !vote so far are lacking in any valid rationale, the official name counts for little and the correct name for a Wikipedia article is the one that best conforms to the article naming policy. District Court Locations Update
